Pointis-Inard ( Occitan Puntís d'Inard ) is a French commune with 924 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region ; it is part of the arrondissement of Saint-Gaudens and the canton of Saint-Gaudens . The inhabitants are called Pointis-Inardais .
geography
Pointis-Inard is located in the historic province of Comminges at the foot of the Pyrenees and on the banks of the Garonne , which forms the northern municipal boundary, about 77 km southwest of Toulouse . Pointis-Inard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Estancarbon in the north, Labarthe-Inard in the northeast, Montespan in the east, Ganties in the southeast, Soueich in the south, Lespiteau in the southwest, Rieucazé in the west and Miramont-de-Comminges in the west and northwest.
