The Communauté de communes du Pilat Rhodania is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Loire department , whose administrative headquarters are in the town of Pélussin . It is located in the south-east of the department and extends westward from the right bank of the Rhone to the Rhone- side (French: Rhodanien ) slopes of Mont Pilat , a mountain range reaching up to 1428 m that separates the Rhone and Loire valleys . The affiliated municipalities are part of the Pilat Regional Nature Park . The community association founded on November 30, 2001 consists of 14 parishes on an area of 144.2 km 2 , its president is Georges Bonnard.
tasks
The competencies required include the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning on the basis of a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . The community association determines the housing policy. In environmental matters, he operates the water supply, sewage disposal and garbage collection and disposal. The association also operates the road maintenance service. It builds and maintains cultural and sports facilities and promotes events in these areas.
