Continental Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company was founded in Grand Rapids , Michigan in November 1932 to manufacture automobiles. It belonged to the engine manufacturer Continental Motors Corporation . The brand name was Continental . Production ended in 1934.
In 1933, 3,310 vehicles were sold. In 1934 sales fell to 953. A total of 4,263 vehicles were produced.

The vehicles were the successors to the De Vaux models . There were three models on offer.
The Beacon was introduced in 1933 and was the only one in the range until 1934. It had a four-cylinder engine with 38 hp . The wheelbase was 258 cm. In the first year, there was a choice of a two-seater roadster , a commercial coupé, and two- and four-door sedans , with coupé and limousines each in standard and luxury versions. In 1934, the range was limited to a coupé, a two-door sedan and a four-door sedan in standard and luxury versions. The Beacon was the second cheapest car on the American market - after the models from the American Austin Car Company .
The Flyer was only available in 1933. It had a six-cylinder engine that developed 65 hp. The chassis had a wheelbase of 272 cm. A two-seater roadster, a commercial coupé and two- and four-door sedans have survived.
The Ace , which was also only available in model year 1933, was the most powerful and most expensive model. Its six-cylinder engine developed 85 hp. The wheelbase was 290 cm. A coupé with a jump seat and five-seat sedans in standard and luxury versions were on offer .
