Cuon is a town and commune Déléguée in the French commune of Baugé-en-Anjou with 575 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire .

Cuon is in the Baugeois countryside .
history
Cave dwellers in the area built a building on a high place made of field stones around 1070-1080, which was primarily intended to serve as a refuge from robbers. It was called la Grange (Eng. The barn) and gradually developed into a residential area that received a Romanesque church in the 12th century .
With effect from January 1, 2016, the municipalities of Bocé , Chartrené , Cheviré-le-Rouge , Clefs-Val-d'Anjou , Cuon , Échemiré , Fougeré , Le Guédeniau and Saint-Quentin-lès-Beaurepaire became part of the existing Commune nouvelle Baugé-en-Anjou integrated. The municipality of Cuon belonged to the Arrondissement of Saumur and the canton of Beaufort-en-Vallée (until 2015: canton of Baugé-en-Anjou ).

Cuon is located on the D 938 Baugé - Longué-Jumelles road . On this road, twelve kilometers south of the village, there is a driveway to the A85 car route .
