Döllschütz is a district (with its own parcel ) of the municipality of Rauschwitz in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

geography

Between the Tautenburger forest and the wooded hills near Tbodla lies a large arable area that monks with farmers and Sorbs once made arable. The hamlets of Pretschwitz , Döllschütz and Aubitz are located in a small erosion channel . For economic reasons at the time they were laid out in a scattered way. Today they are well connected in terms of traffic through other technologies and road conditions. The A 9 with connection at Eisenberg leads directly past. The B 7 clips the district of the hamlet south. The state road 1070 leads west through the Pretschwitz district. In the south of the village the Wethau brook has its course, which gave its name further below the village of Wethau and flows into the Saale between Schellsitz and Schönburg .

history

The hamlet was first mentioned in a document in 1145. Döllschütz belonged to the Wettin district office in Eisenberg , which was under the sovereignty of various Ernestine duchies due to several divisions in the course of its existence . In 1826 the place came with the southern part of the Eisenberg district office and the city of Eisenberg from the Duchy of Saxony-Gotha-Altenburg to the Duchy of Saxony-Altenburg . From 1920 he belonged to the Free State of Thuringia.

The farms also followed the east German path of cooperatives and after German reunification they found new forms of work in the countryside, which is also confirmed here. There is still a dairy cattle facility , but it is now part of the Rauschwitz Agricultural Association. In addition, a solar roof company settled in the hamlet. The Rauschwitz-Döllschütz wind turbine is also a feature of the new era.
