Döllstedt is a district of the city of Stadtilm in the Ilm district ( Thuringia ) with about 70 inhabitants.
geography
Döllstedt is around 413 meters above sea level, around 4.37 kilometers east of Stadtilm . The Deeschbach, which flows into the Ilm to the north in Kleinhettstedt, is formed by the merging of several drainage ditches . Below Döllstedt, the brook feeds the Döllstedt reservoir , a small dam that is used to draw industrial water for agriculture. To the west of the village lies the 526.6 m high Döllstedter Berg , to the east the 547 m high Große Kalmberg extends . In addition to Kleinhettstedt in the north, neighboring places are Großliehaben in the southwest, local winds in the south and Ehrenstein in the southeast.
history
Döllstedt was first mentioned in a document on October 23, 1210.
Until 1920 Döllstedt belonged to Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt ( suzerainty ). On January 24, 1974, Döllstedt was incorporated into the community of Nahbeln , which (together with Döllstedt) formed part of the new community of Ilmtal on June 1, 1996 . This in turn was incorporated into Stadtilm on July 6, 2018. The Döllstedt farmers were once well-known lentil growers.
Attractions
In Döllstedt there is an evangelical branch church of the parish Griesheim . It was built in 1870 on the foundations of a previous building by Rudolph Brecht, a building officer from Rudolstadt, in a neo-Gothic style. On the western part of the roof there is a small slate roof tower.
A manor existed in Döllstedt until 1704. The vaulted cellar as well as parts of the outer walls and the moat are preserved from him.
Economy and Transport
Döllstedt is an agricultural village.
Not far south of the village runs the Arnstadt - Rudolstadt state road , which connects the village with Stadtilm and local winds. Other roads lead to Kleinhettstedt in the north (K 8) and Großliehaben in the south (K 10). The nearest train station is about six kilometers away in Stadtilm on the Arnstadt – Saalfeld railway line .
