history

Dürrengerbisdorf, Gasthof Zur Schmiede

The forest hoof village Dürrengerbisdorf was first mentioned in 1309 as "Gernesdorff". This document mentions the donation of interest people and servants in Dürrengerbisdorf by Volrad, Otto and Ulrich von Colditz - Wolkenburg to their parish church. With regard to the manorial rule , Dürrengerbisdorf was divided into an Electoral Saxon and a Schönburg part until the 19th century . Ecclesiastically, Dürrengerbisdorf has always been part of the Wolkenburg Church.

The Saxon part of Dürrengerbisdorf was under the lordship of the Wolkenburg manor , which was owned by the lords of Kauffungen and later the lords of Einsiedel . The ownership of the neighboring castles of Wolkenburg and Kaufungen has been under joint court administration since 1766. The rule of Wolkenburg , to which the Electoral Saxon part of Dürrengerbisdorf belonged, was subordinate to the Electoral Saxon Office of Borna as an exclave in the Schönburg dominions . It existed until the middle of the 19th century. In 1851, the Wolkenburg portion of Dürrengerbisdorf came to the royal Saxon court of Limbach as part of the Wolkenburg rule .

The Schönburg part of Dürrengerbisdorf belonged to the manor of the Thierbach manor . This was subordinate to the administration of the Rochsburg office as an exclave separated from the rest of the Rochsburg official area by the Penig Office , which had come to the Schönburg House through purchase in 1548 , but was under the sovereignty of the Albertine Electorate of Saxony as " Schönburg State Rule " . In 1835, the Rochsburg share of Dürrengerbisdorf with the office or rule of Rochsburg was subordinated to the administration of the royal Saxon office of Rochlitz .

From 1856 Dürrengerbisdorf belonged to the Penig court office and from 1875 to the Rochlitz administration . As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , the municipality of Dürrengerbisdorf came from the Rochlitz district to the Glauchau district in the Chemnitz district in 1952 (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ).

The municipality of Dürrengerbisdorf was incorporated into Wolkenburg / Mulde on March 1, 1965 , which merged with Kaufungen on January 1, 1994 to form the municipality of Wolkenburg-Kaufungen. Wolkenburg and Kaufungen had been part of the Saxon district of Glauchau since 1990 , which became part of the Chemnitzer Land district in 1994 and the Zwickau district in 2008. On January 1, 2000, the municipality of Wolkenburg-Kaufungen was incorporated into the city of Limbach-Oberfrohna after a failed administrative partnership with Waldenburg . As a result, Dürrengerbisdorf has also been part of the Wolkenburg-Kaufungen district since then.
