Donald Warren Moffett (born October 28, 1954 in Highland Park , Illinois ) is an American film and stage actor .

Life

Donald Warren Moffett was born in Highland Park and raised in Wilmette . From 1969 to 1974 he attended school in Schloss Neubünsch . After graduating from Stanford University in political science , he worked as an investment banker in Chicago and started in parallel, to play theater. So he played alongside William H. Macy in the St. Nicholas Theater Company . He was able to establish himself as a stage actor in Chicago and later moved to Broadway to New York City , where he starred in several theater productions alongside John Malkovich , Matt Dillon and Kevin Spacey . In order not to be confused with the British actor Donald Moffat , he played from then on under the abbreviation DW Moffett.

Moffett made his debut alongside Gena Rowlands , Ben Gazzara and Sylvia Sidney in 1985 in the television drama Early Frost - A Case of AIDS . Since then he has starred in films such as Stranger Shadows , Falling Down - A Normal Day and Traffic - The Power of the Cartel . He also had major roles in the television series For Your Love , Friday Night Lights and has appeared in Switched at Birth since 2011 .

Since April 5, 1997, Moffett has been married to Kristal Rogers, with whom he has two children.
