Daniel Luxbacher (born March 13, 1992 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Luxbacher began his career at SV Hirschstetten . After playing at FC Stadlau , he moved to AKA Rapid Vienna in 2006 . After he had also become a regular in the regional league team, he was loaned to the second division club FC Lustenau 07 for two years . He made his professional debut on the 1st matchday 2011/12 against LASK Linz . In January 2013 he moved to SCR Altach . After promotion, he made his Bundesliga debut on the 3rd match day 2014/15 against FK Austria Wien .

For the 2017/18 season he switched to league competitor SKN St. Pölten , where he received a contract that was valid until June 2019 and was extended to 2022.

Luxbacher is the older brother of the soccer player Bernhard Luxbacher .
