Daniel Schütz (born June 19, 1991 in Mooskirchen ) is an Austrian soccer player .

Career

Schütz started playing football at the Styrian USV Mooskirchen when he was six . Due to his talent, he moved in January 2005, initially on loan, to the youth department of the then Bundesliga club Grazer AK , from which he was signed in July 2005. In the youth academy of the Grazer AK he received further training in various youth teams.

After the bankruptcy of the club and the associated forced relegation to the Regionalliga Mitte , the only 16-year-old Schütz was added to the squad of the fighting team from the 2007/08 season. Schütz made his first appearance in the fighting team when he came on as a substitute for Avan Mohiden in the 57th minute of the game in the 57th minute of the game when he lost 1-0 to SK Sturm Graz  II in front of 5561 spectators in the Graz UPC Arena . Schütz was able to earn a regular place in the fighting team straight away and played 27 championship games in his first season, in which he scored four goals as a midfielder.

After another one and a half seasons with the Grazer AK, Daniel Schütz signed his first contract as a professional footballer with SCR Altach on February 1, 2010 . He was also able to secure a regular place straight away in the Austrian First League (second highest performance level) and played 13 games in the first half season. On April 6, 2010 Schütz was able to achieve his first professional goal in the big game against FC Wacker Innsbruck . In front of 6,200 spectators, the 1.70 meter tall shooter laid the foundation for his team's 3-0 victory in his sixth professional game with his header hit to make it 1-0. Coach Adi Hütter was very impressed by the young professional: “ His speed and good technique make him the ideal player for the right wing. “In the last round on May 28, 2010 in the 2-1 away win of SCR Altach, Schütz scored the earliest goal of the entire 2009/10 season in the First League with his goal to make it 1-0 after 50 seconds. In the summer of 2011, he moved to the Bundesliga club FC Wacker Innsbruck . After relegation with the Tyroleans, he moved to SV Grödig on a free transfer and joined the Bundesliga club. In his first international appearance for Salzburg against FK Čukarički in qualifying for the Europa League , the Styrian scored two goals.

After Grödig retired from professional football, he switched to Bundesliga club SKN St. Pölten in summer 2016 , where he received a contract that was valid until June 2018.
