Christoph Messerer (born November 10, 2001 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Messerer began his career at SV Neulengbach . For the 2015/16 season he switched to the youth team at SKN St. Pölten . In March 2019 he made his debut for the amateurs of St. Pölten in the Regionalliga when he came on as a substitute for Alexander Freismuth in the 73rd minute against the amateurs of SK Rapid Wien on the 17th matchday of the 2018/19 season . In the same month he scored his first goal in the Regionalliga in a 3-2 defeat against SC Neusiedl am See . In April 2019 he was against FK Austria Wien for the first time in the professional squad of the SKN. With the amateurs, he was relegated from the regional league at the end of the season.

In September 2019, he made his professional debut in the Bundesliga when he came on as a substitute for Robert Ljubičić in the 53rd minute against LASK on matchday nine of the 2019/20 season .

National team

In February 2020, Messerer made his debut against Croatia for the U-19 selection .
