Darcy Sharpe (born February 9, 1996 ) is a Canadian snowboarder . He starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Sharpe has participated in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour competitions since 2010 . In January 2012 he won his first national Slopestyle victory at the BC Snowboard Provincial Series . He drove his first FIS World Cup race in February 2012 in Stoneham , which he finished in 28th place in Big Air . At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2012 in Sierra Nevada , he won silver in slopestyle. In the 2012/13 season he won in slopestyle at the Snow Crown in Calgary and at The Canadian Shield Ski and Snowboard Tour on Mount Seymour . In March 2014, he finished second in slopestyle and first in big air at the Showcase Showdown in Whistler . In the same month, he won the slopestyle at the Dew Tour Am Series at the Sun Peaks Resort and finished the season in fourth place in the World Snowboard Tour overall ranking.

At the beginning of the 2014/15 season, he finished second at the Burton High Fives in Cardrona . At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , he took fourth place in slopestyle. He won silver in the Big Air competition. In February 2015 he won his first FIS World Cup victory in Big Air in Stoneham . The following month he came second in the Big Air competition at the Showcase Showdown in Blackcomb and ended the season in first place in the FIS World Cup Big Air classification . At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he won the slopestyle at The Mile High in Perisher Blue . This was followed by a third place in slopestyle at the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge . At the Winter X Games 2016 in Aspen , he finished sixth in both slopestyle and big air. In February he came fourth in Big Air at the X-Games Oslo 2016. At the Snowboard World Championships 2016 in Yabuli , he came 21st in Big Air and 17th in Slopestyle. In November 2016 he came third at the Air & Style in Beijing . In the 2017/18 season he finished second in slopestyle in Cardrona and won the silver medal in slopestyle at the 2018 Winter X Games . He finished seventh in Big Air and sixth in slopestyle at the Winter X-Games 2019 and tenth in slopestyle at the 2019 Snowboard World Championships in Park City . In the 2019/20 season he came in three, ninth places, and tenth place in the Big Air World Cup. At the Winter X Games 2020 he won the gold medal in Slopestyle and at the X Games Norway 2020 in Hafjell he won the bronze medal in Big Air.

He is the brother of Douglas and Cassie (* 1992), who is active as a freestyle skier.
