David Kopacz (born May 29, 1999 in Iserlohn ) is a Polish - German football player. He is currently under contract with the Würzburger Kickers and was active for all youth national teams in Poland from the U15 to the U21.

Career

societies

In 2007, Kopacz moved from VfK Iserlohn's youth to Borussia Dortmund's youth performance center . He scored his first goal in the UEFA Youth League on 7 December 2016 in the away game at Real Madrid . In the final of the A-Junioren-Bundesliga 2016/17 Kopacz played the full game distance against FC Bayern Munich and won the German U-19 championship with BVB .

In the summer of 2018, Kopacz moved to VfB Stuttgart . There he then made his debut for VfB Stuttgart II on August 18, 2018 on the 5th matchday of the 2018/19 season in the football regional league Southwest against TSV Eintracht Stadtallendorf . On September 28, 2018 Kopacz scored his first goal of the season against TSG Balingen in the Regionalliga.

On July 16, 2019, VfB Stuttgart awarded Kopacz to Górnik Zabrze until the end of the season . Kopacz made his professional debut on August 5, 2019 in the Ekstraklasa on the 3rd matchday of the 2019/20 season against Wisła Krakow .

On July 31, 2020, Kopacz moved to the Würzburger Kickers .

National team

In 2014 Kopacz played for the U15 national team of Poland for the first time. On April 27, 2015, David Kopacz made his debut for the Polish U16 national team in a game against Turkey. He made his debut against Finland in the Polish U17 on August 4, 2015. Kopacz made his debut for the Polish U18 on November 10, 2016 against England. At the age of 18, he made his debut on October 10, 2017 in qualifying for the U-21 European Championship 2019 against Lithuania for the Polish U-21 national team . Kopacz played another U-21 international match against Denmark the following month.

On March 21, 2018 Kopacz made his debut for the Polish U19s against the Czech Republic. In qualifying for the U-19 European Championship in 2018 , he led the U-19 national team as captain. He scored a brace against Italy on March 24, 2018. He made his debut for the Polish U20 on September 6, 2018. Kopacz played with the U20 in the U-20 World Cup in summer 2019 and was eliminated in the round of 16 against Italy .
