Dominic Baumann (born April 24, 1995 in Wermsdorf ) is a German soccer player . The striker has been under contract with third division Würzburger Kickers since 2017 .

Career

Baumann played for FSV Blau-Weiß Wermsdorf and for FC Sachsen Leipzig before moving to Dynamo Dresden in 2007. Until the 2013/14 season he was used in the youth teams. In his last season in the A-Jugend he scored 16 goals and was the sixth-best goalscorer in the A-Jugend-Bundesliga North. For the 2014/15 season he was accepted into the Dresden professional squad. He immediately became a regular in the third division . In August 2014 Dynamo rejected Baumann's transfer to 1. FC Nürnberg .

Almost a year later, at the beginning of June 2015, Martin Bader , sports director at 1. FC Nürnberg, confirmed the striker's free transfer for the 2015/16 season to the nine-time German champions, for whom he was initially only used in the Bavarian regional league . In the final stages of the 2016/17 season he made four appearances in the first team. For the 2017/18 season he joined the third division club Würzburger Kickers and signed a contract until 2019. He became a regular player there and came to 35 third division appearances in his first season with the Würzburger Kickers, in which he scored ten goals.

In January 2019 Baumann extended his contract in Würzburg until 2021. In the third division season 2019/20 , in which Baumann scored four goals in 26 games, he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with the Würzburger Kickers .
