Leroy Kwadwo (born August 15, 1996 in Herten ) is a German football player . The defender is under contract with the Würzburger Kickers .

Career

Kwadwo was trained in football at Rot-Weiss Essen , SG Wattenscheid 09 , Westfalia Herne and in the youth department of TSG Sprockhövel .

For TSG, the defender made his first appearances in men's football in the Oberliga Westfalen in 2015 and 2016 . In the spring of 2016 , he was promoted to the Regionalliga West with Sprockhövel by renouncing SpVgg Erkenschwick .

In the 2016/17 regional league season , however, he returned to his training club from Essen, for which he only played three Lower Rhine Cup games and one brief assignment in the league. During the winter break, he was drawn to league rivals Schalke 04 II , where he was only once in the matchday squad and was just as unable to assert himself as in Essen.

In the summer of 2017, Fortuna Düsseldorf, the next big western club, signed the young Kwadwo after a trial training session. The defender played 38 times in the league for Fortunen and wore the captain's armband at times.

The Würzburger Kickers brought some new U23 players for the 2019/20 third division season , including Kwadwo, who received a one-year contract. Kickers CEO Daniel Sauer justified the commitment with Kwadwo's “strengths in sprints and header duels” and his use in internal and external defense.
