Robert Herrmann (born August 10, 1993 in Strausberg ) is a German football player . The defensive player, who can also be used on the wings, is under contract with the Würzburger Kickers .

Career

In his youth, Herrmann initially played for FC Strausberg for six years and was accepted into the youth department of 1. FC Union Berlin at the age of eleven , where he went through all junior teams.

As an 18-year-old he was already in the squad of the second team of the Iron and came to his first appearances in men's football in the Oberliga Nordost . At the end of the 2011/12 season Herrmann was able to rise to Union II as runner-up in the southern season in the Regionalliga Nordost , which from then on was the fourth division . There he was used defensively variably.

In the summer of 2013, the defensive player moved to Hannover 96 , for whose regional league team he only missed one game as a regular player. Herrmann was at the Lower Saxony often used offensively and could six goals and a template to contribute. In addition, he was occasionally allowed to take part in professional training.

As a result , the Brandenburg- born player was often active as a winger or even in the storm center at league competitor VfL Wolfsburg II and was able to get the runner-up behind promoted Werder Bremen II in his first season with the team as a regular . A year later Herrmann won the championship with Wolfsburg with only five defeats before VfB Oldenburg , but in the promotion relegation you had to admit defeat to Bayern champion SSV Jahn Regensburg . Between February and April 2017 there was a forced break due to a metatarsal fracture, despite everything, Herrmann was by far the best preparer of the team with 14 assists.

The second division club SV Sandhausen brought Herrmann in the summer of 2017 after his performance for Wolfsburg and intended to integrate him into the professional team. Due to injury, however, he could not prevail and was only used for the league team except for one game . After a family bereavement, the man from Brandenburg received the club's approval to move to a club closer to home.

After this "epidemic year" Herrmann found a new employer in the league competitor FC Erzgebirge Aue , but he was unable to assert himself. For his further development, the Saxons awarded him to the Würzburger Kickers for the third division season 2019/20 , where he was seeded from the preparatory phase. Herrmann played the left wing offensive and defensive, scored three goals and prepared nine more, but only eight competitors conceded more goals than the Franks. Nevertheless, the Brandenburg and Würzburg managed as runners-up in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Herrmann was then back in Aue, but at the beginning of August 2020 the working paper, which was still valid for one year, was prematurely canceled and the player returned to Würzburg, where he signed a working paper that was valid until June 2022.
