Daniel Hägele (born February 23, 1989 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) is a German soccer player . He can be used defensively in both defense and midfield and is under contract with the Würzburger Kickers .

Career

In 2007, Hägele moved from the U19 of SSV Ulm 1846 to VfR Aalen . In this he was mainly used in the second team. In the 2008/09 season , however, he also played for the first team in the 3rd division . In summer 2010 he went back to Ulm. After six months he went to SG Sonnenhof Großaspach . In the summer of 2013, Hägele was also appointed team captain of the Großaspacher. With the club he celebrated promotion to the 3rd division in 2014 as champion of the Regionalliga Südwest . The defensive player has played 220 competitive games (11 goals) for the club in seven years.

For the 2018/19 season he moved to the Würzburger Kickers and signed a contract valid until June 2020. From the 9th match day onwards, Hägele was always in the starting line-up and played a significant role in the fact that Würzburg had to accept the fifth few goals conceded. At times he also wore the captain's armband for the Franks.
