Dean Cundey

Dean R. Cundey (born March 12, 1946 in Alhambra , California , USA ) is an American cameraman who has worked on many films by well-known directors such as John Carpenter , Steven Spielberg , Robert Zemeckis and Ron Howard .

Life

Cundey likes to use the latest camera technology. He is responsible for tracking shots in films like John Carpenter's Halloween - The Night of Horror or The Rattlesnake . In 1997 he made his directorial debut with the movie Darling, Now We Have Shrunk Each Other .

In 1989 he was for his work on Who Framed Roger Rabbit for the Oscar nominated. In 2002, Cundey was awarded a Daytime Emmy for appearing on an episode of Religion & Ethics Newsweekly. The Society of Camera Operators presented him with the President's Award in 1999.
