Dejan Stojanović ( Macedonian Дејан Стојановиќ ; born July 19, 1993 in Feldkirch ) is an Austrian - Macedonian football player .

Career

society

Stojanović started his career at SW Bregenz . A few years later he was called up to the Vorarlberg performance center. In March 2010, he was against SCR Altach for the first time in the squad of his home club FC Lustenau 07 . He made his debut for Lustenau in the second division in May 2010, when he was in the starting line-up against SC Austria Lustenau on matchday 33 of the 2009/10 season .

In the 2010/11 season Stojanović completed 23 games for Lustenau in the second-highest division. In August 2011 he moved to Italy for FC Bologna . In his first season with Bologna he was only used for the Primavera team. In May 2013 he finally made his debut for the professionals in Serie A , when he was in the goal of Bologna on matchday 35 of the 2012/13 season against Lazio Rome . In that game, however, he conceded six goals, Bologna received a 6-0 defeat. By the end of the season he came to three more appearances, on match day 37 he remained against FC Parma for the first time without conceding a goal.

In the 2013/14 season he came to an assignment in the top Italian division, from which he had to relegate at the end of the season with Bologna. He then played five games for the club in Serie B before he was awarded to league rivals FC Crotone in January 2015 . For Crotone he played two games in Serie B by the end of the 2014/15 season. After the loan ended, he returned to the now top-class Bologna FC for the 2015/16 season. In that season, however, he was not used. He left Bologna after the 2015/16 season.

In August 2016, Stojanović moved to Switzerland for FC St. Gallen . In November 2016, he made his first appearance in the Super League on matchday 14 of the 2016/17 season against FC Lugano . In his first season with the Swiss, he made a total of four appearances in the league. In his second season with St. Gallen he made 13 appearances in the Super League. In the 2018/19 season he finally achieved his breakthrough at St. Gallen and played 34 league games. After another 18 games in the 2019/20 season, he moved to England in January 2020 for second division club Middlesbrough FC , where he was given a contract that ran until June 2023.

National team

Born in Austria, Stojanović first played for the Macedonian U-21 team between 2010 and 2011 . In October 2011 he was in the squad of the Austrian U-19 team without any action .
