Denis Drăguș (born July 6, 1999 in Bucharest , Romania ) is a Romanian football player . The center forward is currently under contract with Standard Liège .

Career

Drăguș learned the game of football in his youth at the Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy in Romania.

At the age of 18, he received his first professional contract with FC Viitorul Constanța , whose club president is also the founder and operator of the football academy. For Viitorul Constanta he played a total of 46 games in the Romanian league, five in the Romanian Cup and five in the European Cup.

In the summer of 2019 he moved to the Belgian first division Standard Liège . In his first season he only made two short-term appearances in the league and one in the cup: his first game was against RSC Anderlecht on September 1, 2019 .

National team

Drăguș played three games each for the Romanian U 18 and U 19 national youth teams .

Due to a heel injury, he was not in the squad of the U21 national team at the U21 European Championship 2019 in Italy and San Marino. After that, Drăguș played three qualifying matches for the U21 European Championship in 2021 until the end of 2019 .

In 2018 he played twice for the senior team in UEFA Nations League League C games.
