The Suspicion is a German short film from 2007 . It is the graduation film by director Felix Hassenfratz at the ifs international film school in Cologne .
The film, staged in a Baden dialect , was made in coproduction with the broadcasters SWR and ARTE and was funded by the Filmstiftung NRW .

Church choir and bakery, southern German province. Conny's world is manageable. Together with her husband Udo, she runs the traditional bakery in the village. The idyll is deceptive. The murder of a local young woman was three months ago. Udo is questioned. He hitchhiked her on the night of the crime. Didn't come forward as a witness. Conny kept it a secret too. The suspicion against Udo is not confirmed - and yet his perpetration for the villagers is soon clear. The customers stay away, and as it were with the decline of the bakery, Conny begins to doubt her husband's innocence.
Torn between her belief in Udo's innocence and the suspicion of the villagers, Conny loses her trust in love.
