The desert Gobi is a television film from the crime series Tatort . The paper produced by the MDR was on December 26, 2017 First aired. In this 1040th crime scene episode, the Weimar Commissioners Lessing and Dorn investigate their fifth case.

action

Gotthilf Bigamiluschvatokovtschvili, Gobi for short , convicted of triple murder of women , breaks out of forensic psychiatry after five years in prison. In the process, he leaves a dead nurse, and shortly afterwards the wife of Professor Eisler, chief physician of psychiatry, is found dead in her own bed. Dorn and Lessing chase the murderer, who is apparently on a campaign of revenge.

Gobi turns up at his fiancee Mimi Kalkbrenner, a harpist with the Staatskapelle, and escapes with a car and later into the sewer system. After the investigators had doubts about Gobi's guilt, they suspected his fiancée and Professor Eisler, who always spoke condescendingly about his sick wife. After attacking a young woman with whom Gobi cheated on her, the fiancée admits that she committed the jealous murders that Gobi was accused of. In psychiatry, she thought he was safe from other women. Little did she suspect that Professor Eisler had offended the nurse and tried to impute this act on Gobi. Dorn and Lessing now want to surprise Gobi and Eisler at a meeting in the sewer system. There Eisler has to admit that he not only murdered the nurse, but also his wife. He defends himself against arrest and opens fire. Gobi can knock him out with a piece of metal.

background

The film was shot in Weimar from November 8, 2016 to December 7, 2016.

In a short dialogue between Gobi and the neighbor Luise ( Antonia Bill ), she reports on her misfortune in choosing her previous partner: a butcher's son, a ghost train owner and a one-legged alcoholic. This is an allusion to central characters from the first three Tatort episodes Die Fette Hoppe , Der Irre Iwan and Der loyal Roy with Lessing and Dorn.

reception

Reviews

“Greatest dialog joke - but unfortunately a bit slow staging. In part, the dramaturgy is as threadbare as Gobi's woolen knickers. Still carries us through the winter night of Boxing Day. "

“The simply constructed crime plot [...] looks about as exciting as the last place winners in the Edgar Wallace Films Memorial Prize thought up. [...] Director Ed Herzog successfully pretends, strangely enough, everyone here is normal - except of course for the therapists and all the women who pissed off the wild Gobi. The authors Murmel Clausen and Andreas Pflüger mainly rely on the ability to be puny, very, very few motifs. "
