Live and act

Eisinger began playing the piano at the age of seven and joined the pianist Walter Krafft at the age of eleven , who, like Dinu Lipatti, came from the Romanian school of Florica Musicescu and had founded the Munich Music Seminar . Eisinger gave the first piano recital and the first concerts with orchestra at the age of 13. From 1976, studied Eisinger with Professor Erik Then-Bergh at the Munich Academy of Music and graduated there in 1980 his state examination with distinction from. A scholarship took him to the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 1986 . After his exams, he began a busy concert career at home and abroad. The complete performance of the Well-Tempered Clavier by Johann Sebastian Bach in Munich, Vienna , Salzburg and Klagenfurt deserves special mention . He was also heard in Menton , Paris, Montpellier , at the Kissinger Sommer , at the Richard Strauss Festival in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and at the Kodály Festival in Kecskemét, Hungary ; there were also five concert tours in South Africa . This was followed by piano concerts and piano recitals in European capitals in Canada and the USA, as well as a number of radio and CD recordings.

Eisinger made a significant appearance at the Munich Piano Summer in 1990 with Schumann's Carnaval , after which Friedrich Gulda designed the second part of the concert. This was followed by his debut in the Berlin Philharmonic with Mendelssohn's G minor piano concerto and piano recitals in European capitals as well as in Toronto / Canada and San Francisco / USA.

Eisinger's lecture concerts , in which he gives introductory explanations with music examples, became popular successes . Especially in the case of more complex works, such as Bach's Goldberg Variations , Beethoven's Diabelli Variations or a cycle with its 32 piano sonatas , the audience is introduced to the respective work more deeply. Another example of his versatility are his introductory lectures on Richard Wagner's stage works . From 2002 to 2008 he gave introductions for the Bayreuth Festival in the form of piano matinees to all of Wagner's operas, which led to further invitations from various national and international opera houses and festivals would have.

Although primarily a soloist, Eisinger is just as happy as a chamber musician and accompanist, also for well-known singers such as Hermann Prey and Kieth Engen . An intensive collaboration has developed with the violinist Franziska Pietsch since 2012, which has led to successful concerts and recordings; most recently the recording of all violin sonatas by Edvard Grieg in July 2015. This CD was nominated for the German Record Critics' Prize 04/2015 and for the International Classical Music Award (ICMA). Now that the ten introductory lectures to operas by Richard Wagner with explanations and musical examples (based on the model of the matinees in Bayreuth) have been completed, Detlev Eisinger's further project is the CD recording of all Beethoven piano sonatas, with each being the first pianist Sonata forwards explanations with sound examples. The first thirteen of these sonatas have already been published in this form.
