The 1982 German Racing Championship was the eleventh season of the German Racing Championship (DRM).

championship

Ten races were held. The first race took place on March 21st in Zolder and the last race of the season took place on September 26th at the Nürburgring .

Compared to the previous season, there were extensive changes to the regulations. As in the sports car world championship , in the DRM 1981 racing cars of Group 6 and C were allowed alongside those of Group 5 . The subdivision of the vehicles into cubic capacity classes was omitted and with it the division 1 and division 2. All racing cars now drove in one classification.

Bob Wollek won the championship title for the first time with 139 points in a Porsche 936/80 and Porsche 936C, after having been runner-up in 1977 and 1981.
