championship

Ten races were held. The first race took place on April 7th on the Nürburgring and the last race of the season on October 26th also on the Nürburgring. The DRM season consisted almost exclusively of races from the interseries . Only the 200-mile race from Nuremberg to the Norisring was organized by the DRM. The points achieved by the drivers in the Interseries were counted in the DRM rating.

The last DRM title awarded went to Jochen Mass . He won the championship with a Porsche 956 belonging to the Joest Racing racing team with 125 points.
