Bob Wollek drove a Porsche 956 from Joest Racing in the DRM in 1983

The German Racing Championship 1983 was the twelfth season of the German Racing Championship (DRM).

Only six races were held, which is significantly fewer than in previous years, when ten to 13 races were usually held. The first race took place on March 20th in Zolder and the last race of the season was on July 24th at Diepholz Air Base .

Bob Wollek defended his title from the previous year with 90 points in a Porsche 956 and became DRM champion for the second time.
