German Skeleton Championship 2004
The 38th German Skeleton Championship 2004 was held on January 10th and 11th, 2004 on the combined ice rink at Königssee . There was one event for women and one for men. Both were carried out in three runs, originally four were planned. One run was carried out on the first day, a second run could not be carried out due to bad weather conditions. Runs two and three were held on the second day. The championships were held as a dress rehearsal for the 2004 Skeleton World Championship at the same location.

The new German champion Florian Grassl set a new start record in the first run, on the second day he set a track record and secured his first German championship title with this performance. This made him the first German champion after the era of Willi Schneider , who won nine titles in the previous eleven years and had now ended his career.

Kerstin Jürgens superiorly secured her first German championship title. Co-favorite Diana Sartor was unable to compete on the second day due to illness.
