Diana Mocanu

Diana Mocanu (born July 19, 1984 in Brăila ) is a Romanian athlete and has been the most successful Romanian swimmer so far.

She won two gold medals at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney over 100 and 200 meters back. At the 2001 World Swimming Championships she won gold over 200 meters and silver over 100 meters back.

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, she did not take part for health reasons.

Mocanu was awarded the Order of Loyalty to the rank of commander in 2000.
