Diane McBain

Diane McBain (born May 18, 1941 in Cleveland , Ohio ) is an American actress .

Life

McBain grew up in California and was working during their school education at the High School of Glendale as a photo model . She received a film contract with Warner Bros. and starred in 1959 guest roles on the television series Maverick and 77 Sunset Strip . The following year she made her feature film debut. At the age of 19, she starred in a major supporting role in the drama Titans, alongside Richard Burton and Robert Ryan . Just a year later she played the title role in Claudelle and Her Lovers , which, however, did not have any major commercial success. She also starred in the literary film adaptation of His Name was Parrish . As a result, her film roles became smaller again, as in women who are not allowed to love . She played a bigger role in the mid-1960s alongside Elvis Presley in Never Say Yes and in 1970 in The Delta Factor , directed by Tay Garnett .

In addition to guest appearances in various series, McBain had the recurring role of Daphne Dutton in the television series Surfside 6 between 1960 and 1962 . In 1966 and 1967 she accompanied Bob Hope on his appearances for the United Service Organizations in Vietnam . When her career stalled in the late 1960s, she withdrew into private life. She married in 1972 and had a child, but they divorced in 1974. From the end of the 1970s she occasionally took on smaller roles and was seen, among other things, in the soap opera Zeit der Sehnsucht from 1982 to 1984 .
