Game flow

"The Princes of Florence" is a demanding strategy game in which you can achieve victory with several different strategies.

The players slip into the role of the princes of Florence in Italy at the beginning of the 16th century and play the head of one of the famous noble families such as the Medici or the Borgia . As promoters of the arts and sciences, the players erect buildings, lay out landscapes and bring artists and scholars to their principality to lay the foundations for great works. These works and some other actions bring prestige points, which are recorded on a success track. The more impressive a work is, the more money / prestige the work brings to the player in whose principality it was performed.

It is important to reconcile two contradicting actions during the game: On the one hand, money is required to be able to acquire further buildings and landscapes, on the other hand, builders, jugglers, prestige and bonus cards need to be paid, which are also of great use are on the way to the highest reputation. The winner is the one who has the most prestige points after seven rounds.
