Diedrich Heinrich Schmidt
Diedrich Heinrich Schmidt also DH Schmidt (born June 26, 1933 in Leer , Province of Hanover ; † March 3, 2020 ibid) was a German author who published mainly in Low German .
Life
Schmidt grew up in East Frisia and attended elementary school in Leer . After the Second World War he worked in different places in different activities; He was a gardener's assistant, foundry and dock worker as well as sales representative and coffee roaster .
From 1971 until his retirement , Schmidt worked as a school assistant in Leer. Since 1969 he has been writing short stories , radio plays and novels in High and Low German .

- 1972: Scholarship from the Federal Foreign Office and the German Writers' Association
