Hans-Hermann Briese

Hans-Hermann Briese (born December 30, 1940 in Norden , Hanover province ) is a German doctor and author who publishes mainly in Low German .

Life

Briese grew up in East Frisia and went to school in the north. In 1960 he passed the Abitur at the general education Ulrichsgymnasium Norden and studied medicine at the University of Heidelberg . He passed the state examination in 1965 and received his doctorate in 1966. After completing his studies, he worked as a medical assistant , assistant doctor , senior doctor in surgery and, finally, until his retirement , as a medical officer for the Aurich district . He was also a naval reserve surgeon in the Marines Medical Service .

In his private life, Briese devotes himself to cultivating the Low German language and has been writing poetry and prose mainly in Low German for over 30 years .

The author lives in his native city in the north.
