Elke Paulussen

Elke Alma Paulussen , née Sievers , (born September 15, 1944 in Hamburg-Blankenese ) is a German author who publishes mainly in Low German .

Life

Paulussen grew up in Hamburg-Neuenfelde in the old country . After completing secondary school , she worked for a year as a house daughter in Switzerland , then did an apprenticeship as a travel agent and then became a branch manager of a travel agency .

In 1975, she was adult education - teacher and gave over 25 years of courses in Low German. Since then she has also worked as a writer, writing poetry and prose . Her Low German columns appeared regularly in the Harburger Rundschau , a regional supplement to the Hamburger Abendblatt . She also volunteered in social and church areas.

Paulussen was married from 1967 to 1996. She has three children, including actress Grit Paulussen . Since 1994 she lived with her daughter in Buxtehude , later she moved to Munich .
