The district of Hualmay is located in the province of Huaura in the north of the Lima region in the central west of Peru . The 5.81 km large district is congruent with the city of Hualmay. At the 2017 census, there were 28,765 residents in the district. In 1993 the population was 23,675, in 2007 26,808.

Geographical location

The city ​​of Hualmay, on the Pacific coast , is 22 m above sea level. The urban area borders in the south on the provincial capital Huacho , in the east on the city of Cruz Blanca , in the north, across the river Río Huaura , on the city of Huaura and in the northwest on the coastal town of Caleta de Carquín . The state capital Lima is 122 km south-southeast of Hualmay.
