The Paccho District is located in the Huaura Province in the Lima Region in western Peru . It has an area of ​​237 km². The 2017 census counted 1693 inhabitants. In 1993 the population was 2037, in 2007 it was 2055. The district administration is located in the 3275  m high village of Paccho with 352 inhabitants (as of 2017). Paccho is located 75 km east-northeast of the provincial capital Huacho .

Geographical location

The Paccho District is located in the Peruvian Western Cordillera in the east of the Huaura Province. The Río Huaura flows along the western district boundary to the southwest.

The Paccho district borders on the Cochamarca and Naván districts ( province of Oyón ) in the west, the Checras district in the northeast and the Leoncio Prado district in the south .
