Dmitri Nikolajewitsch Barinow ( Russian Дмитрий Николаевич Баринов ; English transcription: Dmitri Nikolayevich Barinov ; born September 11, 1996 in Ogudnewo , Moscow Oblast ) is a Russian football player who is under contract with the first division club Lokomotiv Moscow . The midfielder has been a Russian international since June 2019 .
Career
society
Barinow began playing football at FK Spartak Schchjolkowo and came indirectly in 2012 to the youth department of Lokomotiv Moscow . In April 2015 he was pulled up to the first team by head coach Miodrag Božović . On May 16 (28th matchday) he made his debut in the Russian top division when he was substituted on for Mbark Boussoufa in the 3-0 home win against Rubin Kazan in the closing stages . In the remaining two league games of the 2014/15 season he was substituted on one more time. He played two league games again in the next 2015/16 season .
Despite a muscle injury that forced him to watch for two months, he was considered more often in the 2016/17 season and made 12 appearances in the league. He started the 2017/18 season as a regular player, playing mainly as a central defender and not in his traditional position in central midfield . On August 19 (7th matchday) he met Loko for the first time in a 4-3 away win against city rivals Spartak Moscow . After a change of formation, he fell out of the starting line-up in the next few weeks and was only used sporadically for the rest of the season. In 16 league appearances and one hit, he had his share of the team's championship title.
In the following season 2018/19 he established himself as a regular player in central midfield and played 23 league games in which he scored one goal. With the locomotive he made it to the final of the Russian Cup , where they met Ural Yekaterinburg . In this game he scored the only goal of the day in the 27th minute of play and gave his team the title.
National team
Barinow played dozen of international matches for various Russian junior teams. With the U17 national team he won the U17 European Championship 2013 in Slovakia . In this tournament he was used in four games, including the final. In late autumn he played four games at the 2013 U17 World Cup .
In July 2015 he took part with the U19s at the 2015 U19 European Championships in Greece . There he was used in all five tournament games of the Sbornaja from the start and reached the final, where they lost 2-0 to Spain .
On June 8, 2019, Barinow made his debut for the senior national team when he came on as a substitute for Roman Sobnin in the second half of the 9-0 home win against San Marino in the qualifier for the European Championship 2021 . So he was in the field for the highest victory of the Russian selection of all time.
