Miss Switzerland 2013

After the 2011 election, the Miss Switzerland election was deleted from the Swiss television (SF) program, which had broadcast the event live for several years. The 2012 election was canceled due to a lack of sponsors, which is why Miss Switzerland 2011, Alina Buchschacher , held office for 21 months.

Rinderknecht is the first Miss Switzerland to win the title in a new process inspired by the casting show Germany's Next Top Model . The event was broadcast by the private broadcaster Sat 1 (Switzerland) .

The Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) According tried those responsible for the Miss Switzerland choice to make before, "something dusty choice 'again as a media event. In contrast to the previously common procedure, there were also individual special prizes to be won. Dominique Rinderknecht won the title of "Miss Brain" for her general knowledge in the training camp.

Rinderknecht is the first Miss Switzerland with a short haircut . On October 11, 2014, she handed over the crown to her successor Laetitia Guarino .

reception

After Miss and candidates from earlier years had embarrassed themselves on Switzerland-specific questions, the NZZ commented on Rinderknecht's election as "Miss Brain" in a somewhat ironic tone that it would certainly not be a problem for Dominique Rinderknecht, a journalism student and prospective baccalaureate Matterhorn and the Bundeshaus can be seen.

The SonntagsBlick headlined with statements from Rinderknecht that were rather unusual for a contest and sees them as the embodiment of modern Switzerland.

The cultural scientist Ralf Junkerjürgen speaks of a slight provocation that makes Rinderknecht interesting for a large audience. It corresponds to the ideal of beauty and at the same time signals self-determination and is thus an exciting mixture of adaptation and deviation. This goes with Rinderknecht's short hairstyle, which is no longer specifically an expression of feminism, but of modernity.
