Patricia Faessler (born November 12, 1974 in Zurich ) is a Swiss model and an artist .

biography

Childhood / adolescence

Patricia Faessler began taking ballet and theater lessons at the renowned Zurich Dance and Theater School Metzenthin at the age of four . Faessler later grew up multilingual in Brussels (Belgium). In her free time, the then 16-year-old worked as a photo model.

Model career

In 1991 Faessler was one of the ten finalists for Elite Model Look of the Year and received her first campaign for the Swiss clothing company Tally Weijl . Two years later Faessler won the Miss Switzerland title and the following year came 6th in the Miss Universe elections in the Philippines . This was followed by photo shoots at Faessler's new home in Paris as well as in Milan , London and New York for women's magazines such as Harper's Bazaar or Cosmopolitan and fashion brands such as Lacoste , Max Mara , L'Oréal and Romeo Gigli . In the 1990s, Faessler was the face of the dermatology company Louis Widmer . The campaign ran in 42 countries.

In 2009 the label hired Hammett P. Faessler for a campaign in Hollywood.

artist

In 2006 Faessler began to photograph himself and did a self-study with a camera and mirror. Cultural Espace Ample Barcelona included Faessler in a group exhibition of eleven artists and showed works of their self-observations.

Education

In 2010 Faessler completed her Masters in Applied Ethics at the University of Zurich .

Patricia Faessler is committed to social projects such as the Swiss aid organization IDEM (“In the service of a fellow man”, Children's Hospital Zurich ). She organizes workshops and seminars in schools and girls' institutions on the subject of “beauty choices and beauty madness”.

Faessler is director of international relations at Dance 4 Africa , an organization that advocates the education of African children and the protection of nomadic peoples.
