Dorota Gruca

Dorota Gruca (temporarily Gruca-Giezek ; born December 5, 1970 in Tarnogród , Powiat Biłgorajski ) is a Polish long-distance runner .

She was Polish champion three times over 5000 m (1995, 1998, 1999), six times over 10,000 m (1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2004) and four times in the half marathon (1996, 2000, 2001).

In 2000 she won the premiere of the Poznan Marathon , and in 2001 she was third in the Berlin Half Marathon , eighth in the Twin Cities Marathon and won the Richmond Marathon . In 2002 she came third at the Nagano and Monaco marathons . In 2003 she won the Ruhr Marathon and Richmond. In 2004 she was the winner of the Maratón Pacífico in Mazatlán with 2:28:49 h for the first time under two and a half hours. In 2005 she won the Salt Lake City Marathon , finished 13th in the Marathon of the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki and was third in the Greifensee run and the Las Vegas Marathon .

In 2006 she finished second in the Houston Marathon half marathon , sixth in the Osaka Women's Marathon and eighth in the Singapore Marathon , in 2007 second in the Amsterdam Marathon, and in 2008 third in the Nagano Marathon and second in the 10K Ottawa Race Weekend . In the marathon of the Olympic Games in Beijing , she finished 30th. In 2009 she was third in the San Antonio Marathon , and in 2010 she won the Dębno Marathon and in Las Vegas.

At the 1997 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Krakow , Gruca started alongside Magdalena Grzywa , Iwona Grzywa and Adrianna Babik in the relay race and won the bronze medal with them as the final runner.

Dorota Gruca is 1.59 m tall and weighs 46 kg. She starts for the KS Agros Zamość club.
