Douglas (born August 6, 1990 in Monte Alegre de Goiás ; real name Douglas Pereira dos Santos ) is a Brazilian football player . The right-back is under contract with Beşiktaş Istanbul .
Career
societies
Douglas played for the Goiás EC in his youth and was there from 2008 in the first team that plays in the A series . In 2009 he won the Goiás State Championship with the club . In February 2012 he moved to league rivals FC São Paulo , with whom he won the Copa Sudamericana in the same year .
At the end of August 2014, Douglas moved to the Spanish Primera División for FC Barcelona . He received a five-year contract until June 30, 2019 and cost four million euros transfer. On September 24, 2014, he made his league debut in a 0-0 draw against FC Málaga . In the top-class defense of Barça , Douglas came in his first season only to another league appearance, but several times in the Spanish Cup for short appearances . At the end of the season he won the championship, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League with the club . At the beginning of the 2015/16 season , Douglas won the UEFA Super Cup with the club and the FIFA Club World Cup in December 2015 . He was used once in the league and won the championship again at the end of the season.
In August 2016, Douglas was awarded a one-year loan to league rivals Sporting Gijón . On August 31, 2017, he was loaned to Benfica Lisbon until the end of the season.
In July 2018 Douglas first returned to FC Barcelona and started preparing for the season. For the 2018/19 season he was loaned to the Turkish first division club Sivasspor . Then Douglas moved to Beşiktaş Istanbul .
National team
Douglas was used twelve times for the U20 of Brazil . At the U20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009 , he made five appearances and was only defeated with his team in the final against Ghana .
