history

St. Anthony Church

The village of Dylocken only became independent after 1900. Before this area belonged to the foothills of the village Sczedrzik . In 1898 the German entrepreneur Artur Fuchs founded a stocking and woolen factory in Dylocken. Since then, most of the female residents and those of the surrounding neighboring villages have found permanent jobs there.

In 1933 there were 734 people in Dyloken. On August 10, 1936, the place was renamed Thielsdorf . In 1939 the village had 845 inhabitants. In 1940 the St. Antonius Church with its onion dome was built after Dylocken and Ringwalde left the parish of Sczedrzik in 1938 and the parish of Dylocken was founded.

As a result of the Second World War, Dyloken fell under Polish administration in 1945, like most of Silesia. Subsequently, the place was renamed Dylaki and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 it was incorporated into the Opole Voivodeship.

In 1974 a new factory in the same branch called Opolanka was established. At that time, 765 people (mainly women and girls) were initially employed. In the early 1990s, the factory ran into financial difficulties and had to close. In 1994 the German company Coroplast GmbH took over the former company premises and has been producing cables for Volkswagen with 850 employees ever since .

In 1999 the place came to the newly founded Powiat Opolski (Opole district).
