Biestrzynnik ( German Ringwalde , until 1932 Biestrzinnek ) is a village in Upper Silesia . Biestrzynnik is located in the urban-and-rural municipality Ozimek (Malapane) in the powiat Opolski (Opole district) in the Polish Voivodeship of Opole .

Biestrzynnik is located seven kilometers north of the municipality of Ozimek ( Malapane ) and 21 kilometers east of the district town and voivodeship capital Opole ( Opole ). To the west of Biestrzynnik is Lake Turawa . The Libawa , a right tributary of the Malapane, flows north of the village . She drove a mill.

The place was first mentioned in 1679 and had 12 inhabitants at that time.

In 1725 eight farmers lived in the village. In 1742 Biestrzinnek and most of Silesia fell to Prussia . In 1783 there were 11 farmers, 18 metalworkers and 11 tenants and a total of 245 inhabitants.

After the reorganization of the province of Silesia which belonged rural community Biestrzinnek from 1816 to district Opole in the administrative district of Opole . In 1823 the Catholic school was opened. In 1830 the Counts of Garnier built an ironworks in Poliwoda. In 1845 there was a Catholic school, an ironworks, a royal sub-forestry and 76 other houses in the village. In the same year, 675 people lived in Biestrzinnek, four of them Protestants. In 1865 the ironworks in town was closed. In the same year, the place had eleven gardeners, 48 ​​farmhands and 41 local farmers. At that time the Catholic school had 182 students from Biestrzinnik and Poliwoda.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 159 eligible voters voted to remain in Germany and 125 to belong to Poland. Biestrzinnik remained with the German Empire . On January 15, 1932, the place was renamed Ringwalde . In 1933 there were 538 inhabitants. In the same year a volunteer fire brigade was founded. In 1939 Ringwalde had 581 inhabitants. From 1938 to 1941 a new church was built in the neighboring town of Thielsdorf , of which Ringwalde was henceforth a member. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Opole .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was attached to the Silesian Voivodeship and renamed Biestrzynnik . In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 it has belonged to the re-established Powiat Opolski . In 2005 the place had about 730 inhabitants, in 2011 again 685.
