Dylan O'Brien (born August 26, 1991 in New York City , New York ) is an American actor . Between 2011 and 2017 he starred as Stiles Stilinski in the MTV television series Teen Wolf and in the Maze Runner trilogy (2014-2018) as Thomas .

life and career

Dylan O'Brien was born in New York City and raised in Springfield Township , New Jersey . According to his own statements, he is half Irish. At the age of twelve, he and his family moved to Hermosa Beach , California . O'Brien has a sister 16 months older. Before he got into acting, like his father, he wanted to be a director . Even before his actual acting career, he was also well known on YouTube . His breakthrough as an actor for O'Brien was the role of the style Stilinski in the MTV television series Teen Wolf , which he played between 2011 and 2017. O'Brien is a voice actor in Transformers - spin-off Bumblebee to hear the voice of the title character.

From 2012 to 2018 he was in a relationship with actress Britt Robertson .
