The 2015 MTV Movie Awards ceremony took place on April 12, 2015 at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles , California . The show was hosted by Amy Schumer .

With eight nominations, Guardians of the Galaxy received the most nominations, followed by Destiny's A Lousy Traitor and Bad Neighbors with seven nominations and The Hunger Games - Mockingjay Part 1 , 22 Jump Street and Whiplash with five nominations each. Three awards each went to Bad Neighbors , Fate is a Lousy Traitor and Maze Runner - The Chosen in the Labyrinth followed by The Hunger Games - Mockingjay Part 1 with two awards.
