The 2001 MTV Movie Awards took place in Los Angeles on June 2, 2001 . The evening's moderators were Jimmy Fallon and Kirsten Dunst . There have been performances by Christina Aguilera , Lil 'Kim , Mýa and Pink ( Moulin Rouge ) , Dave Matthews Band and Weezer . The film 3 Angels for Charlie was the winner of the evening with two awards .
