Yegor Orudschew
Yegor Orudschew [ ɪˈɡor ɐˈrudʐɨf ], also Egor Orudzhev , Russian Его́р Ору́джев , (born October 16, 1995 in Saint Petersburg ) is a Russian automobile racing driver . He competed in Formula V8 3.5 from 2015 to 2017 .
Career
Orudschew began his motorsport career in 2006 in kart racing , in which he remained active until 2011. In 2012 he switched to formula racing . He first competed in the French Formula 4 championship . With a second place as the best result, he was tenth overall. He also took part in an Alpine Formula Renault race weekend and made a guest appearance in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup .
In 2013 Orudschew moved to Tech 1 Racing and competed in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. With a second place as the best result, he finished seventh overall, while his team-mate Pierre Gasly won the championship title. In addition, Orudschew started with Tech 1 Racing in the Alpine Formula Renault. Here, too, a second place was his best result and he finished fifth in the drivers' championship. In early 2014 , Orudschew competed for M2 Competition in the Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand. With three wins, no driver had won more races than him. Nevertheless, he only reached sixth place in the championship. Orudschew then contested his second season in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup for Tech 1 Racing. With two second places he finished eighth in the overall classification. He also made six guest starts in the Alpine Formula Renault. He also took part in an event of the British Formula 3 Championship for Carlin . He managed a victory.
In 2015 Orudschew received a cockpit in the Formula Renault 3.5 at Arden Motorsport . In Mogyoród he scored his first victory. He won again at Le Mans . With a total of four podium finishes, he finished the season in fifth place in the drivers' championship. He prevailed internally with 133 to 55 points against Nicholas Latifi . In 2016 Orudschew stayed with Arden in the championship, which had since been renamed Formula V8 3.5 . He won a race each in Spa-Francorchamps , Le Castellet , Monza , Jerez and Barcelona . With five wins, Orudschew was the driver who had won most of the races. However, since he had failed in six races, he was defeated in the championship by Tom Dillmann and Louis Delétraz with 197 to 237 and 230 points respectively and was third overall. The internal duel he decided against Aurélien Panis , who was fifth with 183 points, for himself.
