The Egyptian Premier League 1977/78 was the 22nd season of the Egyptian Premier League , the highest Egyptian championship in football . Champion became al Zamalek SC for the fourth time , the number of teams was reduced from 15 to 14. Esco FC , El-Plastic , Factory 36 and Gut Belbais all went down. Factory 36 and Gut Belbais were new to the league.
