The Egyptian Premier League 1949/50 was the second season of the Egyptian Premier League , the highest Egyptian championship in football . Defending champion al Ahly SC from the capital Cairo was tied with Tersana SC in first place after the championship ended ; by the subsequent playoff al Ahly SC was able to defend his title. Compared to the previous season, 0.26 fewer goals were scored per game.
The following ten teams took part in the Egyptian Premier League in the 1949/50 season. Three teams came from Alexandria , two each from Giza and Cairo and one each from Ismailia , Port Fuad and Port Said .
