The 2007/08 Egyptian Premier League was the 51st season of the Egyptian Premier League , the highest Egyptian championship in football since its inception in 1948/49 .
The climbers from the Egyptian Second Division 2006/07 were Itesalat , Aluminum Nag Hammâdi and Baladeyet El-Mahalla . Tanta FC , Asyut Petroleum and El-Olympi are no longer represented in Egypt's top division . The defending champion is al Ahly Cairo .
