Elliot Morgan

Elliot Stetson Neal Morgan (born January 19, 1832 , † April 21, 1894 ) was an American politician ( Republican Party ) who was twice acting governor of the Wyoming Territory .

Morgan served as Secretary of Wyoming Territory from 1880 to 1887 . After the death of Governor William Hale , he served as acting governor of the territory from January 13, 1885 to February 28, 1885, a period of 46 days . When Governor George W. Baxter later stepped down, he stepped in again. He held the office from December 20, 1886 to January 24, 1887, a period of 35 days.
